This morning we walked around Panam, one of the three historical areas in Kathmandu. Legend (or history?) says that the kingdom was divided amongst three brothers, thus, the three different architectural styles present in different areas of the city. The architecture in Panam was intricately carved and lurched in response to the 2015 earthquake. 2X4’s positioned on the exterior of the buildings helped to support their structural integrity. I can feel that my mind is wandering as I write today but fuck it!

Nepal feels cleaner and more developed than India. It’s strange… if you had a still photograph of the streets of Kathmandu and a still of the streets of India they would appear almost identical. Only when the audio and scent tracks were added would you quickly understand which country you were peering into.

We returned to the complex in time to start the Ganga Ghar meeting at 1:30 to outline initial project plans.
